Demelza Leonard is a Marketing Connoisseur, Media Presenter, Creative Thinker, Music Maven and Pop Culture Enthusiast.
Dedicated to seeing others succeed, Demelza uses her experience to help give business owners and freelancers the tools and knowledge needed to promote their brand, business or self successfully.
In 2015, Demelza took the leap from a reputable corporate Marketing role to create her own Social Media & Marketing Consultancy, DL Social after realising there was a need for Small to Medium businesses to understand cost-effective Marketing methods and tools.
Since that time, DL Social has developed a strong portfolio of local and national clients across a diverse range of industries. From property to retail, fashion to weddings, F&B to entertainment; Demelza’s knowledge and ability allows clients to grow their brand awareness and see results.
However, Demelza’s work doesn’t stop there.
She is also the creator of Australia’s only online radio station for small business, freelancers and students, Boss Mode Radio. The station, which launched in 2018, pairs inspiring and educational programming with upbeat and motivational tunes from the 80s to today and attracts a loyal listenership weekly.
But this isn’t the only dalliance with media Demelza has had. A Bachelor of Communications and Broadcasting student, Demelza’s experience in media has seen her host several programmes on a number of Perth-based radio stations. She has also been the Dance Music Sub-Editor at Perth’s former premier street press, Xpress Magazine, is a nationally published music journalist, interviewed international musicians and artists and has hosted a live to air breakfast TV show.
Currently she holds the position as Music Presenter on The Couch TV show, airing weekly on Foxtel.
In 2018, she had the honour of being asked to MC a TedX affiliated event.
Now in 2019, Demelza is fusing her passion for Music and Pop Culture with her love of Marketing and Social Media, bringing her unique style of teaching using Social Media, Speaking Opportunities, New Media and Technology to share her story and expert tips.
Video may have killed the radio star, but a strong promotions and marketing strategy combined with out-of-the-box thinking is going to ensure a long life for your brand.
